Not only should we be reducing the amount of fat we eat and exercising more; more and more people are also aware that salt intake has strong links to heart disease.
At Abbots Tandoori we are committed to reducing these risks, by making sure that all animal fats are removed, as well as reducing any oil that needs to be added in order to cook the food, to a minimum.
All oils have zero-cholesterol and we have drastically reduced the amount of salt we use in all our food as well as reducing the use of items such as food colouring. In fact we have stopped using food colouring altogether in a number of our dishes.
Since we do not use many of these flavour enhancing ingredients, as used by most other Indian restaurants, you may think our food will not taste of the highest standard. This is not so; we enhance our flavours through the advanced skills of our chefs in understanding how to blend the right spices and cook them properly. An art in itself.
